Ο σύλλογος Βιώσιμη Σαμοθράκη, σύμφωνα με το ιδρυτικό καταστατικό του, προέβη στη σύσταση Διεθνούς Επιστημονικού Γνωμοδοτικού Συμβουλίου με συμβουλευτικό ρόλο επί των δραστηριοτήτων του. Το ΔΕΓΣ ιδρύθηκε το 2018 και αποτελείται από διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένους επιστήμονες από διαφορετικά πεδία με πολυετή ερευνητική εμπειρία στη Σαμοθράκη και σε άλλα νησιά.
